Most "healthy snacks" aren't actually healthy. Flip the pack and you'll find maltodextrin, artificial flavours, sugar alcohols, and a list of ingredients that reads like a chemistry textbook.
This is not that.
TheAmlaCo Amla Candy has 4 ingredients. You can count them on one hand. You can pronounce every single one. And each one is there for a reason — not to extend shelf life, mask flavour, or cut costs.
EVERY INGREDIENT. RIGHT HERE.
- ● Amla (Indian Gooseberry) — A naturally tart fruit that has been a staple in Indian households for generations. Rich in Vitamin C and naturally occurring antioxidants.
- ● Jaggery — Unrefined natural sweetener made from sugarcane. The same thing Indian kitchens have used to sweeten food for centuries. Not refined sugar. Not sugar substitutes.
- ● Rock Salt (Sendha Namak) — Naturally occurring mineral salt that balances the sourness of amla and rounds out the flavour.
- ● Black Pepper — A common kitchen spice added in a small quantity for flavour. A traditional pairing with amla in Indian cooking.
WHAT'S NOT IN IT
WHY IT TASTES GOOD
Raw amla on its own is intensely sour — which is why most people can't eat it consistently. We worked on the ingredient balance until the candy felt like a genuine treat. Sweet from jaggery, tangy from amla, with just enough salt and pepper to balance it out. It's the kind of thing you'll reach for at 3pm not because you feel obligated to, but because you actually want to.
HOW TO USE
Eat 2–3 pieces a day as part of your daily snacking routine. No preparation required. Works great as a mid-morning or afternoon snack. Keep some at your desk, in your bag, or in your car — the whole point is having a better option always within reach.
Suitable for most adults as part of a varied and balanced diet. Not a substitute for meals.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many pieces are in a 250g pack?
Approximately 40–50 pieces depending on size. At 2–3 pieces a day, one pack lasts around 15–20 days.
Does it need to be refrigerated?
No. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consume before the best-before date printed on the packaging.
Can children eat this?
All ingredients are natural and commonly consumed in Indian households. However, we recommend checking with your child's paediatrician if you have any concerns, especially for very young children.
I have a medical condition. Can I eat this?
Please consult your doctor before adding any new food product to your routine if you have a medical condition or are on medication.
Why does the colour or taste vary slightly between packs?
Because we use real amla — which varies naturally by season and harvest batch. Minor variation in colour or taste is completely normal and a sign of genuine ingredients.
